Do the challenges you face seem overwhelming and confusing? The TpEBO Focus 2012 workshops can help you address these challenges.</p>
<p>I know you are busy and (like most of us who run our own organisations and teams) are coming to the end of a year full of change and turbulence. Feedback from our client base indicates that some teams are finding it challenging to finalise their business plans. They are questioning whether 2012 is the right time to take action and grow; maintain the current structure; or downsize the business.</p>
<p>TpEBO has organised a series of Focus 2012 workshops to help business owners and teams identify and concentrate on priorities for 2012.  After five hours of coaching, plus some additional time spent on fieldwork, you will be clear on your direction for 2012.</p>
<p>I will personally facilitate the sessions; you will be challenged and need to dedicate time to focus on the important issues your business is facing. I know what it is like to lead an organisation; have experienced the ups and downs of business; and understand what it’s like to operate in a turbulent market. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Facilitating difficult meetings is similar to herding cats. Attendees have diverse opinions and want their opinion to be taken on board. That’s where TpEBO comes in. TpEBO&#8217;s role as facilitator is to ask the right questions and generate engaging conversations amongst attendees so that tangible outcomes come from the meeting.</p>
<p>Believe it or not, 90% of the work takes place before the meeting. We work closely with the client to gain an understanding of what is really needed. What is the best use of attendees’ time? What are the issues facing the people in the room? Who will be in the room and why? What do we want to achieve in a short space of time?</p>
<p>Meetings are intense ranging  from 1 hour to 3 days for large and small groups, face to face and in virtual  environments. Sessions are practical and structured to provoke thought  and designed so attendees face the hard questions early on.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you work with someone who has a reputation for being difficult to work with &#8211; are they a tough leader or simply a bully?</p>
<p>This topic has come up alot in conversations I&#8217;ve had inside and outside of the workplace. Why? Is this imposing behavior the reaction of someone protecting their territory? feeling threatened? miscommunication? or lack of insight in how one&#8217;s behavior can impact on another? Is it linked to the pressure of the economic downturn?</p>
<p>It is stressful when you are undermined or caught in the cycle of a blame culture. Sick days increase, productivity and results suffer (though, in many cases, your leader won&#8217;t admit that)</p>
<p>How you choose to handle a particular situation is more important than the incident itself. Do you choose to react? or act pro-actively? Do you stay? Do allow the abuse to continue? or find a different way to handle the situation? Even if you feel economically that you cannot leave &#8211; you always have choice. You can choose to gain more experience and learn as much as possible from the person &#8211; with the aim of getting a better position in the future. You can choose to talk to the person, ask what has to change in order to work more effectively together. In many situations, it&#8217;s not personal.</p>
<p>Always remember you are skilled, you have experience, you can make positive changes, your confidence will return and you will learn something good from this.</p>
